Yew
Cottage
Yew
Cottage nestles on the edge of the village of Dacre.
Simply furnished and equipped, Yew Cottage makes a very welcoming
base for an affordable holiday in the Lake District.

Dacre is a pretty,
unspoilt village, just five miles from the market town of Penrith
and two miles from Ullswater. From the cottage, it is only a short
walk to the excellent local pub. Dating from the seventeenth century
The Horse and Farrier offers a warm welcome, good food and a refreshing
drink.

Access down to Dacre Beck may be made over the lush,
green fields to the rear of the cottage.
Also near to hand are Dacre Castle, dating from
the fourteenth century (not open to the public), and the beautiful
church of St. Andrew.
Dalemain Historic House and Gardens (open to the
public from March to October) may be reached via an easy walk along
the estate road from the village.
