SAVE THE DALEMAIN OF AUSTRALIA
The NATIONAL TRUST of South Australia are putting in a bid to save the house immortalised in Picnic on Hanging Rock and a vital part of the South Australian Heritage.
Don’t let this extraordinary house, modelled on Dalemain in Cumbria and built in South Australia be lost. It can never be retrieved once sold this important heritage will be gone forever.
Martindale Hall is now at risk of being sold and lost for the 'Good of the South Australian people'.

Apple Celebrations in the Mediaeval Hall Tearoom- throughout October
How quickly the year has flown and the apple harvest is here and we have filled our beautiful ancient apple store in the garden. To celebrate our bumper harvest, a selection of Dalemain's ancient varieties of Apples are available to taste and buy in the tearoom.
We also have an Apple Themed Menu throughout October in the Tearoom with a welcoming open log fire.

The perfect setting for a traditional festive treat, whether you're a group of work colleagues, family or friends. We also cater for larger groups & parties and can book a separate date if required.
Why not combine your visit with a glass of mulled wine and a walk through the Estate to Dacre Castle and back before lunch. The walk is one mile each way and a Dacre walk leaflet will be given out with your mulled wine.
