Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly, London since 1707, has the largest number of marmalades for sale in Britain: it is the store one naturally heads to in search of an excellent marmalade.
Fortnum’s marmalades – 32 in all – are made to Fortnum’s own recipes, with the emphasis on the quality of fruit, and the types of sugar used. All of their marmalades are made in small volumes in open-pans. There are bitter marmalades, sweet marmalades, and dark marmalades, as well as others noted for their fragrance. And where a spirit is added only the best available is used, where possible from their own range .
With this history, the pairing of the World’s Original Marmalade Awards with Fortnum’s unites deliciously two world class institutions with centuries of tradition and a taste for innovation.
Fortnum & Mason offer a very special prize for winners of the Artisan Awards – Double Gold winners and selected Gold winners will be offered the opportunity to have their winning marmalade on sale at the Fortnums store right in the heart of Piccadilly.
Fortnums also stocks the winning Homemade marmalade, ensuring that their store is the only place outside of Dalemain that can say with confidence that they stock the best marmalades in the world.
