Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland

To date the Dalemain World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival have raised over £270,000 for palliative care, with Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland our main beneficiary.

Hospice at home

Established in 1997 Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland (Hospice at Home) provides high quality, palliative care and support to patients, family members and carers affected by life limiting illness. Our core and largest service is our Nursing Team which consists of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants who are skilled in providing nursing care and support in the last year of life and at end of life.

We also have other clinical services which may be required in addition to our nursing service.  Our clinical services area covers a mixture of urban and rural communities – a region of approximately 1,500 square miles throughout the North and East of Cumbria.

Services provided are free of charge to those who need them, and the charity needs to raise £20,000 a week to keep the Charity running. Although some funding is received from the NHS, the Charity needs to raise over 80% of running costs in order to ensure that this vital help is available when needed and remains free of charge to patients and their families. There are many ways that members of the community could help to support Hospice at Home, please click here to find out more.

Hospice at Home would like to thank Jane Hasell-McCosh and all at Dalemain for their valuable, continued support.
