The Marmalade Awards are BACK for 2021!
We are delighted to confirm that we will be holding the Marmalade Competition in 2021. The team have been working very hard to ensure that we can run the competition safely and are very pleased to announce that we will be launching the 2021 Awards THIS DECEMBER.
We know that 2020 has been an exceptionally difficult year for everyone and we hope that entering the Marmalade Awards will bring you joy, whether you are a small artisan producer, an experienced home cook or a complete novice. The Marmalade Awards entrants are a worldwide community and we look forward to seeing all of your jars together again.
The competitions will open in December, so watch this space! We will announce entry forms, categories, prizes and judges shortly, and we hope to receive record entries. So many people have spent more time than ever in their kitchens this year – lets hope they’ve been making marmalade!
The deadline for entries is Wednesday 10th February. Winners will be notified shortly after this date, and the Awards will be announced at a virtual event on Saturday 13th March. We hope to be able to celebrate with a full Festival of Marmalade on 20th June 2021.
There are three competitions that you can enter:
The Homemade Awards
Anyone can enter the Homemade Awards, and there are categories from Children’s Marmalade to Merry (with alcohol), Camponologists, Any Citrus and many more, which ensures that no matter what kind of marmalade you make, there is a place you you! The full homemade entry fee goes towards supporting Hospice care, both in the UK and around the world. To find out more about the Homemade Awards, CLICK HERE. The Artisan Awards
These Awards promote small scale marmalade makers using the open-pan method. Judged by an esteemed panel, these prestigious Awards put marmalade makers on the map, and winners can display their ‘Gold’ ‘Silver’ or ‘Bronze’ Award roundel on their jars, which is a huge marketing gift that declares their marmalade one of the best quality preserves in the world. Selected winners are then stocked by Fortnum & Mason in their prestigious Piccadilly store. To find out more about the Artisan Awards, CLICK HERE. Hotel, Restaurant and B&B Awards
These Awards are for anyone who runs an establishment that serves their very own homemade marmalade! A crucial component to any meal out, or holiday visit, we want to shout about the people going that extra mile to ensure their guests get the very best.
