Dalemain’s much loved Plant Fair is back, with a hand-picked selection of the best nurseries in the North, and Artisan food & crafts. Visit us on Sunday 18th June 10am – 4pm for this FREE EVENT that is a celebration of all things gardening, and a wonderful day out for all the family.

We are proud to welcome back a wide range of the most varied and high quality nurseries in the North West. Hosted by Dalemain and held on the front lawn in front of the house, in the beautiful Lake District, the surroundings make the perfect backdrop for a lovely day out. Visit us for all of your gardening needs, from hardy perennials to old fashioned roses, and then stay to browse the wonderful artisan crafts on offer.

Jane Hasell-McCosh will be taking guided tours of the historic gardens here at Dalemain, and Newton Rigg college will be offering free gardening advice and lectures. The mediaeval tearooms will be open, with homemade cakes and cream teas among the many tasty offerings. Dalemain Mansion will be open, with fantastic discounted entry to the house – only £7 for both house & gardens, or £5 for gardens only. Children will once again receive FREE entry to both the house and gardens.

The Gardens at Dalemain are at their finest, and the famous Dalemain ‘Meconopsis Grandis’ Blue Poppy is looking wonderful. The roses are also coming into flower, along with many other exciting blooms. Click HERE for more information about our gardens.
