2020 OPENING TIMES
We are pleased to offer a tour for people who would like to know more about Dalemain and the family who have lived here since the 1670s. Our expert guides will bring history to life as they take you around the courtyard and the outside of the mansion, before bringing you into the historic gardens. Pointing out architecture and artefacts never before have spotted on a visit to Dalemain, they will regale visitors with stories of the Hasell family, and the development of both the mansion and estate through the centuries.
This special tour is not to be missed!
Tours last approximately 45 minutes, and are strictly limited to ensure visitor safety. Please book your tour online and collect your ticket in the shop no less than 10 minutes prior to the start time.

Visiting the Gardens
We are delighted to announce that the Dalemain Gardens are open Sunday – Friday 11am – 4pm. We are operating under the strictest social distancing rules, and have additional measures in place to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
We are offering a delicious range of homemade takeaway food and drink, and our marmalade shop is open in the corner barn selling the very best marmalades in the world. The mansion will remain closed until further notice. We ask visitors to Dalemain to obey all social distancing measures, to ensure that everyone can enjoy the gardens safely.
We regret that dogs are not permitted in the Historic Gardens. They are however very welcome in corner barn, the courtyard, and on the estate walk to Dacre.
