The World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival
Pay a visit to majestic Cumbria for an unforgettable weekend this March. The Festival is returning to Dalemain Mansion & we will once again be teaming up with Penrith town centre for a weekend of Marmalade celebrations for anyone who loves marmalade, festivals or a good day out!
The 2020 Marmalade competition is now OPEN, and we are looking forward to selecting our winners. The competition will close on 7th February and the winners will be announced at the Award ceremony on Saturday 14th March, launching a weekend of celebrations at Dalemain Mansion, home of the Marmalade Awards.
The event will also funds for the Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, with lots of opportunities throughout the day for the public to support this much-loved local charity
At the heart of the Festival is Dalemain Mansion & Historic Gardens, where over 2,000 homemade competition Marmalades will be on display in the state rooms in all their glory and the best artisan Marmalades in the world will be available to taste for FREE and to buy. Join us for an orange themed market, storytelling, music, delicious food and more! The International Awards Ceremony to Winners will take place at Dalemain on Saturday 14th March. There will be cookery demonstrations with esteemed chefs, Marmalade Question Times with speakers including Pam ‘the Jam’ Corbin, Dan Lepard and Japanese marmalade maker Miyuki Kokubu. Entry to the House to see the marmalades is £5.50, and free for children.

PENRITH GOES ORANGE
The Town of Penrith will be going orange in celebration of the Marmalade Festival, with lots of special orange offers from local shops – keep an eye out for the wonderful orange windows! There will be entertainment, food and wonderful vintage buses, to take visitors from Dalemain to Penrith all weekend.
